As a Loan Officer Assistant, a typical day might include the following:
The Loan Officer Assistant position will assist the Loan Officer in managing aspects of the customer pipeline; ensuring loan applications are completed and processed properly, marketing efforts and other general administrative and clerical duties.
We are looking for someone that is well spoken and has excellent communication skills both written and oral. Must be able to work on a team and be ready to grow both personally and professionally.
• Manage the client pipeline and maintain the database of current and potential clients, which includes, but is not limited to, entering current and accurate information into our CRM
• Be familiar with guidelines on specific loan types and review loan scenarios to meet guideline requirements
• Completion of a detailed items needed list and communication with the borrower on all items needed.
• Set up files for processing.
• Print LO’s pipeline and also current months Projections Report for status meetings with the LO’s team on a weekly basis.
• Assist in monitoring the projections for the month – make sure accurate information is in the system as far as estimated closing date and coordinate changes with the processor and closer.
• Assist the processor/LO in collecting additional documentation from the borrowers as needed or requested
• Coordinate ongoing marketing campaigns: a. Touch Campaigns, Birthday Cards, Realtor Drip Post cards, Past Client Post Cards, Realtor and Affinity emails
• Work in Word, Empower, and Excel software programs as well as our Share Point site and be familiar with all areas.
• Review all Bulletins as they come out to be aware of industry, Investor and company requirements.
• Stand-in with clients in place of the Loan Officer as requested by the LO (if licensed)
• Assist Loan Officer in completing and processing loan applications (If licensed)
• Perform other duties as assigned.
This job might be for you if:
• Experience in mortgage banking or related industry
• Active Mortgage Loan Originator license preferred
• Excellent customer/interpersonal service skills and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Time management: Ability to work in a time-sensitive work environment to ensure strict time restrictions are met
• Task management: Ability to effectively prioritize and execute on assignments given, as well as take initiative in finding and solving problems
• Work in an organized, accurate, thorough, and timely manner
• Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
