Responsibilities
• Provide basic accounting, bookkeeping and operational support under direct supervision. This will include accounts payable, accounts receivable, statement reconciliation, journal entries, general ledger, and monthly, quarterly and year end reporting.
• Examine accounting records, prepare basic accounting, bookkeeping and payroll statements and reports.
• Provide statements and reports to clients.
• Communicate with clients to discuss and answer accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll questions.
• Maintain client relationships and facilitate open communication with clients.
• Meet client service expectations through adhering to time budgets and maintaining positive client communications.
• Assist team in providing additional services to clients.
• Maintain current knowledge of local, state, and federal practices and laws.
• Maintain and expand knowledge base in area of expertise.
Qualifications
• Associate’s degree in accounting or related field, required, Bachelor's degree, preferred.
• One (1) + year experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping. Professional services and experience working in an office setting, preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting, bookkeeping and payroll principles related to classifying, recording, and summarizing data and making computations to compile and keep financial records.
• Computer skills and knowledge, including and Microsoft Office Suite.
• QuickBooks and/or Intacct experience, preferred.
• A desire to work independently with clients, and ability to work with multiple clients simultaneously.
• Ability to provide exceptional client service and exhibit a sense of urgency to complete work in a timely manner.
• Ability to prioritize work flow and coordinate activities as needed, as well as communicate effectively with others and work in a team environment.
• A professional demeanor and the ability to handle matters confidentially.
• Keen sense of accuracy and attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to follow directions and procedures.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
