Position Summary:
The Benefits Analyst is responsible for the administration of U.S. health and welfare and related programs to effectively service participants and to ensure benefits are properly administered. Partners with vendors, HRIS, IT and Payroll to ensure systems and processes are designed for the effective administration of plan requirements. Updates employee records and maintains accuracy of data and reporting.
Position Description:
• Coordinates with external and internal partners to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of administrative and procedural activities. In particular, focuses on interfaces, reporting and process quality across departments.
• Maintains documentation and records related to internal controls, workflow, policy and procedures. Assess effectiveness and makes recommendations for process improvements. Conducts operational audits of data, records and processes as needed.
• Troubleshoots and resolves escalated employee inquiries and claim questions.
• Monitors ADP and HR Ops case management systems and responds to general and escalated employee inquiries.
• Manages vendor relationships to provide oversight of daily operations, including: acting as primary contact for escalated operational and participant issues, managing vendor change controls, processing invoices, etc.
• Participates in and supports periodic service reviews, new vendor assessments and implementation of new services.
• Provides support and guidance to co-workers as needed.
• Creates and generates reports utilizing Workday, PeopleSoft, ADP BenMark or other systems to support financial reporting, plan design and operational assessments.
• Works proficiently in a team environment managing multiple priorities and projects.
• Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.
Knowledge & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Three plus years of related professional experience
• CEBS or other industry certification preferred
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Strong analytical skills and mathematical aptitude
• PC skills, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access
• Workday or similar HRIS application experience required
