Program Leader
The Firm Portfolio Management Office (PMO) is an enterprise-wide function responsible for evolving the firm's capabilities for planning and project management to help facilitate decision-making around and execution of the firm's portfolio of strategic work.
This will include development of the processes by which strategic programs and projects are scoped, prioritized, planned and resourced as well as leadership of execution around our largest strategic programs through a centralized program management function in partnership with division-level PMOs.
The Program leader will be responsible for the execution and management of large, complex and cross-functional projects that constitute one or many programs and/or projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ability to leverage business, technical, and financial acumen to ensure alignment with firm objectives, strategy and technical direction with all divisions involved.
• Partner with division leaders to define program benefits that turn client and market insights into action.
• Partner with senior leaders to document the program objectives, structure, and governance that will support monitoring, controlling, and reporting program status.
• Lead multiple project leaders to achieve program objectives on time, within cost, and within scope.
• Integrate multiple project plans using project management tools to create an integrated program plan with identifiable critical path(s), project dependencies and major milestones.
• Oversee program requirements and estimates with an appropriate understanding of risk.
• Holistically manage program risks, issues, and change requests with appropriate escalation.
• Drive and recommend improvements in Program/Project Management and industry "best in class" practices within the firm.
• Effectively execute stakeholder management and communication throughout the life of a program.
• Provide leadership, development, and mentoring to associates through examples and timely feedback.
Position Requirements
Position Qualifications:
• A bachelor's degree is required or equivalent experience.
• MBA or graduate degree preferred.
• 7 years of project management experience leading complex projects is required.
• 7 years of experience leading or mentoring other project leaders is required.
• 7 years of experience with creating, monitoring, and interpreting program / project performance metrics through the entire development lifecycles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• 7 years of experience with MS Office and project management tools is preferred.
