Description
The Talent Acquisition Recruiter is responsible for developing and executing talent sourcing strategies by partnering closely with hiring managers to understand and forecast talent needs. Creatively and proactively uses sourcing techniques to create a pipeline of candidates for high volume/time sensitive positions. The Talent Acquisition Recruiter will apply specific business and labor market knowledge to help the organization and candidates reach optimal hiring decisions.
To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess the following competencies: knowledge of the candidate recruitment and assessment/selection process, sourcing, building credibility and trust, data tracking, attracting talent, exercising influence, business acumen, and collaborating with others. The Talent Acquisition Recruiter will bring the voice of the talent strategy to hiring decisions.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
• Work with hiring managers to forecast and determine open positions, understand position requirements, and candidate success profiles.
• Source and recruit applicants by using methods including but not limited to, print and electronic, advertising, social media, career fairs, networking, cold calling, college and university programs, community agencies, workforce centers, professional associations, and employee referral programs to build talent pipelines for current and future needs
• Manage resume flow and candidate communications to set and maintain clear expectations related to next steps within recruiting process and disposition.
• Complete and distribute weekly reports on position vacancies, class fills, sourcing activities and applicant flow.
• Participate in special projects/recruiting initiatives including assessment of best practices in interviewing techniques and leveraging of external and internal sources of talent.
• Work cooperatively with all members of the Talent Acquisition team to develop and implement plans and activities.
• Maintain accurate and well-ordered documentation on all candidates, searches, hiring managers’ interactions, and other recruiting activities and accurate utilization of ATS according to standards.
• Articulate in writing a plan with deliverables, timelines and a formal tracking process.
• Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company, implementing any new processes, fine tuning standard processes, and staying informed of trends and innovation recruiting techniques.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Assurant leaders, vendors, community organizations, and other team members to create a partnership that yields success, predictable results and credibility.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• 3+ years of full cycle high volume recruitment experience
• 1+ years of experience in a class-based recruiting environment
• 3+ years of Applicant Tracking System experience
• 3+ years of experience conducting competency/behavioral based interviews
• 2+ years of interacting with Hiring Managers throughout the recruitment process
• 2+ years of developing and executing sourcing strategies
Other Requirements
• Must have proficiency in full recruiting cycle components, including sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessing, agency and offer negotiation, closing, administrative components, job analysis, wage and salary trends, and understanding of relevant labor markets, relationship management, and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations. • Partners with hiring manager to develop interview strategies that result in hiring talent. Should also be comfortable with creating a diverse workforce through strategic recruitment activities. (Competency: Assessment/Selection and Critical Interviewing)
• Must have expertise in building and utilizing a variety of sourcing plans and tools, including proactive phone and internet research for an entire job family/function or business unit. Should have experience in engaging the hiring manager and team in sourcing activities. (Competency: Strategic Sourcing)
• Proficient in utilizing an ATS for sourcing, tracking and managing candidates. (Taleo/Workday preferred) (Competency: Strategic Sourcing)
• Strong proficiency in consulting with hiring managers, leveraging recruiting experience to influence hiring decisions. Provides recommendations and coaching to hiring managers on scope, steps and timelines. Works effectively to build relationships and ensure that customers are satisfied. • Proficient in managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects and client relationships. Drives a sense of urgency throughout the recruitment process. Looks for opportunities to remove obstacles and implements complex and unique recruiting approaches. (Competency: Initiative and Persistence)
• Excellent project management, organizational and communication and negotiation skills are required. Must be able to collect and analyze recruitment data, and make recommendations about improvements in the recruiting process to managers. Must have strong presentation skills. • Secures top-tier talent for the company. Ability to execute recruiting strategy, including employer promotion in the marketplace, candidate management, diversity sourcing, and interview process management. (Competency: Attracting Talent)
• Must be able to manage competing demands while being extremely adaptable and flexible. Develops an understanding of project scope and ensures that deadlines are met. Leverages systems, technology, and other methods to stay organized during recruitment activities. Drive efficiencies around costs. (Competency: Organization and Time Management)
