Job Description
This position is responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of specific functional areas within corporate operations. In addition, this position possesses experience and specialized knowledge of the assigned functional area to respond to and resolve the most complex situations referred by staff.
II. Principal Responsibilities:
Represents the organization in court and at depositions to attest to the validity of bank records
Collaborates with legal staff to ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations and to coordinate and respond to legal requests within mandated timeframes.
Works with departments throughout the organization to research and obtain the relevant information needed to meet the requests of legal officials, branches and department in an effective and efficient manner.
Reviews, logs, prepares and assigns Legal requests received such as Subpoenas, Summons, and Police requests for data retrieval by the Research Department.
Monitors and maintains archiving processes filing system/database for the legal requests received. Prepares, analyzes and presents findings and recommendations on monthly department reports and statistics.
Prices and prepares billings to various government and private agencies for rendered research services.
Works with Research Department to ensure service level agreements are met.
Works with the Document Imaging Department to ensure all required bank records are scanned correctly.
Job Requirements
III. Education/Experience Requirements:
Legal or Paralegal experience strongly preferred
College degree or equivalent experience required.
2-5 years relevant experience.

Project management, analytical and research skills are needed to manage project phases or smaller and less complex projects from inception through completion.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills are necessary to explain goals and objectives to staff and to communicate effectively with management.
Knowledge of banking industry and specialized knowledge of banking operations and the ability to keep informed of trends and developments.
Ability to evaluate, analyze and quantify the financial impact of the issues involved.
Excellent PC skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation, internet and internal software. Ability to learn additional applications as needed.
