Assistant Vice President
Job Description:
The GSO Technology team is seeking a middle- to senior-level full-stack Microsoft technologist with some financial product knowledge to work in a small team to develop enterprise systems for a large buy-side credit trading business.
Responsibilities:
• Trading system development and support
• Risk Management system development and support
• Market Data system development and support
• Quantitative Analysis system development and support
• Other strategic management initiatives
Qualifications:
GSO seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. Ideal candidates will be self-drive, flexible to work on multiple projects simultaneously and have excellent communication skills. In addition, the successful candidate should have:
• B.S. Degree in Computer, Math, Quantitative Finance or Engineering
• 5-10 years of experience within a Technology team at a financial firm
• Strong C# and SQL experience
Additional Qualifications:
• Experience with other programming languages such as Java Script, F# or Python
• Some fixed income and portfolio accounting knowledge
• Knowledge in vendor systems in the fixed income and portfolio accounting areas
