Description
The Quality Assurance Advocate will be responsible for performing an in-depth review and analysis of Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) loan quality with a focus on ensuring all policy, procedures, processes and guidelines are met.
• Execute and deliver a Quality HMDA Reporting Package
• Perform weekly Loan Application Monitoring
• Perform monthly HMDA file submissions
• Responsible for maintaining knowledge of origination, processing, underwriting, and credit risk policies
• Responsible for maintaining knowledge of regulatory changes as they relate to the HMDA quality assurance review function
• Validate controls surrounding origination, underwriting and system defaults
• Perform analytics on the HMDA submission file to identify trends
• Develop process maps, key processing inputs and supporting metrics and deliver recommendations, and implement approved actions and develop control plans for longer term process performance.
• Proactively establish corrective action and root cause options
• Deliver recommendations, document key decisions and implement approved actions and supporting control plans
• Advocate will be resourceful and flexible due to changing priorities and business climate; to meet short-term priorities and needs of the business line, and changing regulatory environment.
• Complete peer QC reviews in addition to HMDA tasks
Qualifications
• 3-5 years experience with credit origination, processing, underwriting, quality assurance, credit policy review and/or governance.
• Must demonstrate strong analytical, organizational and project management skills, coupled with the ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral, with external clients and all levels of the bank management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects/tasks and responsibilities.
• Proficient PC skills including working with Microsoft Office, Excel & Access
• Self-starter, highly motivated
Hours and Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday
