Seeking a full-time investment banking analyst to support the Healthcare Group in San Francisco

About the Job
Analysts will work in small, focused teams on M&A, private equity and debt capital raising, fairness opinions, valuations and strategic advisory engagements. Lean deal teams provide excellent opportunity for senior-level banker and client exposure and higher, immediate “hands-on” experience. The program is designed to provide broad experience across the healthcare sectors and all stages of transaction executions from pitch phase through closing.
Essential Job Functions
• Preparing financial models and valuations of private and public companies including discounted cash flow, comparable public company, precedent M&A transactions, IRR analysis, LBO, earnings accretion/dilution and merger consequence analyses
• Drafting offering memoranda, preparing internal committee memoranda, and creating client "pitch books", management and board presentations
• Managing client due diligence processes
• Maintaining proprietary databases used in research and corporate valuation functions
Required Qualifications
• 1 – 2 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, finance and/or consulting
• Strong educational background with a Bachelors degree with coursework in finance and accounting with an overall cumulative minimum GPA of 3.5
• Strong analytical skills, including accounting fundamentals
• Series 79 and 63 licenses strongly preferred
• Healthcare experience is not a pre-requisite
• Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
• Superior written and oral communication skills
• Strong work ethic and time management skills
• Willingness to commit substantial time and energy to the program
Willingness to engage in moderate travel throughout the United States
