Job Description

Our Private Wealth Management division is seeking a member for its PWM Technology Best Practices team. The PWM Technology Best Practices team is an established group with a mission to help grow revenues, enhance the associate and client experience, and improve profitability through technology.
The Sr. Digital Technology Product Manager will be expected to play a leading role in creating and delivering PWM’s digital strategy, advance the overall virtual presence for clients, and execute on the day-to-day operations of the online client platform: Baird Online. This position will collaborate within PWM leadership, Wealth Solutions Group experts, Tech Best Practices, marketing, as FAs and CS’s, and various corporate resource groups as well clients ensuring the Firm’s current and future online needs are met. The role may evolve to include other responsibilities as PWM’s priorities change.
As a Sr. Digital Technology Product Manager, you will:
• Define forward-looking business strategies related to digital, online, and mobile transformation with a focus on wealth management, financial planning and building stronger relationships online (advisor led, digitally-enabled advice).
• Undertake competitor and market analysis in order to identify trends, new opportunities and develop new plans and strategies based on client needs, varying demographics, online interaction, and demand trends. Correspondingly, communicate and influence Baird PWM to make appropriate changes, investments, and enhancements to deliver a superior wealth management experiences to clients digitally.
• Collaborate and regularly partner with key constituents acting as an advocate for PWM when developing new offerings or product enhancements (PWM Leadership, Tech Best Practices, IT, Operations, Compliance, Marketing, and PWM Councils).
• Develop cohesive digital strategy based on multiple business partners’ input and work to communicate a consistent and simplified message that supports wealth management objectives within the industry.
• Provide intelligence and insight of current online presence balanced with UX trends in order to assess current site effectiveness while leveraging experience to challenge current online practices.
• Maintain a long-term, strategic focus by being familiar with related platforms and capabilities, understanding end-client and advisor practice’s needs, participating in roundtable committees, managing product enhancements, and helping to drive and measure product usage.
• Ensure a customer centric online approach is taken, ensuring clarity, simplicity and effectiveness of communication that is in line with brand personality and objectives of the Firm and measurable results.
• Create business scenario designs, functional designs, flow-mapping, prototyping, requirements definition, test planning, project execution, training coordination, and documentation of operational support procedures.
• Oversee training deliverables in collaboration with Marketing and Communication to create the collateral needed to adoption including educating front-line resources on platform capabilities.
• Facilitate the digital brand messaging for internal marketing efforts related to the platform, including ongoing communications and technology product events such as PWM Symposiums.
• Motivate and support the broader, cross-functional Baird Online team and support the wider project and technology product team.
• May be asked to assume additional technology product ownership of related platforms as project portfolio needs dictate.

What we look for:
• Bachelor’s degree required preferably in a digital, technical, or marketing area of study.
• 5+ years’ experience in online, ecommerce or related background.
• Business understanding of the Wealth Management industry and trends.
• Technical skill set with the ability to translate for the non-technical end-user.
• Superior customer service attributes; willingness to go “above and beyond” for the client.
• Must be able to take ownership of issues and see them through to completion. Must have the ability and desire to solve problems.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills; ability to interact and influence all organization levels.
• Ability to develop, build, and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.
• Ability to identify issues and trends in order to anticipate change and provide recommended comprehensive solutions and remedies.
