Project Manager, Vice President
Job Summary
VP level Project Manager responsible for managing, directing, developing and implementing complex projects or programs to accomplish strategic goals and business objectives. Responsible for projects reporting up through the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO).
The Project Manager will use project management techniques to coordinate project effort towards the successful completion of the project(s). The Project Manager’s role is to effectively manage projects within specified time frames, including use of Bank’s project methodologies. Successful completion implies that interim milestones are met and that the final deliverable(s) meets the business requirements and is within the allocated budget. The Project Manager supervises the activities of the assigned resources from business; IT and vendor/consultants in order to ensure the project goals are being met.
Responsibilities
• Creates plans to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards, and meet customer expectations
• Tracks key project milestones, adjusting project plans or resources to meet objectives
• Manages project budget to ensure maximum allotments are not exceeded
• Oversees/conducts all project activities and supervises/creates and archives all project documentation
• Delivers quality project documentation and deliverables and adherence to Bank's project methodology
• Leads the execution of complex, cross-functional implementations or integrations, including Command Centers, issue management, communications, and executive reporting
• Provides articulate and accurate reporting to the Project Sponsor, Steering Committee, Business Users, Audit and IT; creates presentations appropriate for audience
• Manages Stakeholders and Customers
• Negotiates business and IT resources for project allocation
• Identify, mitigate, and reports project risks
• Negotiates and implements resolutions that threaten cost, schedule or scope
• Tracks all testing and issues and identifies those for escalation
• May manage multiple projects directly or through other project managers.
• May manage larger programs with multiple project managers and workstreams.
Qualifications
• 8+ years banking or equivalent consulting experience as project manager with strong strategic management and planning expertise
• Demonstrated ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Solid understanding and planning skills in all aspects of the system's/business project life-cycle, i.e., enhancements, user requirements, application configuration and usage using MS Project as the project planning tool.

• Strong Communication & Presentation Skills (makes complex issues accessible to business audience, clear, concise, and audience appropriate)
• Ability to manage large project teams
• Ability to manage resources both directly and via matrix management
• Ability to follow Enterprise Program Management standards, documentation and reporting requirements
• Must be fully conversant on issues and current trends as they relate to the banking industry's products and services
• Aptitude to prioritize and analyze a list of measurable product or service characteristics along with associated target values
• Proven relationship and influence management skills
• Banking or Financial Services deep subject matter expertise and/or general technical skills highly desirable.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Higher, preferred.
