The Training & Development Intern will work directly with department managers & subject matter experts to grow and strengthen Ameritas' learning offerings. This position will start building learning modules from the ground up to accommodate multiple learning styles.
Our internship program is designed to provide real-world experience that is directly related to your academic discipline and career goals and provide you a better understanding of career options for your degree. Components of the program include:
• Hands-on experience working as a member of a specific department and team.
• Assigned projects to accelerate learning of key functions/process.
• Cross-functional departmental exposures within the corporate office.
The Training and Development Intern will be a shared resource between several departments and will engage in adult-learning theory best practices as they:
• Conduct needs analysis through interviews with subject matter experts.
• Turn procedures and workflows into accurate and engaging courses and modules.
• Organize training materials for easy access.
• Create and edit training video & audio.
• Create and edit knowledge base materials.
• Create skills assessments and questions to verify knowledge transfer.
Qualifications
• Must be enrolled in a college program at the time of internship, preferably in a business related field
• Working knowledge of software used to create training videos a plus
• Able to work 3-4 months starting in May 2019
• Able to commit to 40 hours a week
