TCF Digital is changing the way customers consume/experience banking.

This position will lead a digital engineering team that develops and manages TCF's digital account opening service/platform, with a focus on simplifying the account opening experience.
You'll manage supervisors and/or experienced specialists who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments. You'll provide strategic direction for a specific discipline within IT and work closely with the other managers in support of strategic project planning and execution. You'll interpret and administers policies, processes, and procedures that may impact lines of business or other area within IT and recommend changes to policies & procedures as warranted to address business changes and/or to ensure regulatory compliance.
You'll interact frequently with internal/external stakeholders at various levels to address business needs. You'll also participate in and present at meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Interaction typically concerns resolution of operational and scheduling issues.
Major Areas of Accountability
• Perform supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing staff. Manage performance concerns and disciplinary action in accordance with established procedures.
• Works with business partners and/or IT leadership to understand and anticipate business and IT project needs of a reporting unit.
• Develop strategies, operating plan, performance measures/targets for a reporting unit and lead the day to day delivery of its programs, services and activities.
• Administer budget and ensure cost efficiencies.
• Develops, implements, and ensures adherence to procedures, methods, standards and controls to foster operational efficiency, monitor compliance, mitigate risks, and achieve unit results.
• Manage financial and human capital resource allocation to support short -term projects and programs.
• Develops and implements innovative services, business solutions, and programs, provides technical leadership and oversight on projects, and collaborates with others on integrated solutions and initiatives across the enterprise.
• Develop influential working relationships with LOB leaders and other internal/external stakeholder.
• Develop, mentor, and manage reporting Team Leads, professionals and other staff including selection, training, coaching, performance management and all other people practices.
• Anticipates and analyzes trends in technology and assesses the impact of emerging technologies on the business.
• Maintains appropriate professional designations and up-to-date knowledge of current information technology techniques and tools.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in, Computer Science or other technical field or equivalent work experience•
Work Experience/Skills:
Required:
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in Information Technology with working knowledge of managing a specific IT discipline, e.g. application product areas and associated interfaces.
• 3+ years of experience in all aspects of a specific IT discipline, e.g. programming/analysis with demonstrated mastery of systems technology and functional/user areas operations.
• 2+ years; management/supervisory experience in specific IT functional area discipline, e.g. applications development, during which more than one of the following occurred
• Strong leadership and experience managing multidiscipline, high-performance work teams
• Strong competency in project management and execution of multiple or large projects.
• Experience working with customers to develop solutions to complex business problems.
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal/external stakeholders and articulate customer needs.
• Strong analytical skills.
Preferred:
• Financial Services industry experience
• 2+ years’ project management experience; use of IT project management methodologies.
• Experience with budget management
• Experience with product development and management
