Your work falls into the following categories:
Strategy Development and Implementation
• Oversight of the design and implementation of the communication strategies including but not limited to the creation of proactive campaigns to effectively position and enhance the brand of the Freddie Mac Information Technology Division
• Develop audience identification and segmentation tactics that yield rich insights and perspectives to inform innovative campaigns and partnerships, ultimately build high degrees of engagement
• Develop bold ideas, opportunities, and campaigns to help bring about enduring organizational change
• Develop and execute high visibility programs that position the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and supporting leadership team as thought-leaders ultimately creating demand for their participation in internal cross-divisional projects, industry events, and media interviews
Communication and Marketing
• Develop messaging and talking points for Sr Executive communication events
• Collaborate across Freddie Mac to organize outreach campaigns, press events, and other activities, including but not limited to digital platforms
• Drive alignment between the IT division's words and actions, working with senior management to make internal operations and external activities powerful forces for strengthening and extending the IT organization and its initiatives
• Lead transformation and simplification of complex ideas, strategies, financial metrics and industry data into clear and concise messages that resonate with an internal audience
• Enable and utilize a variety of traditional and digital marketing channels and content marketing
Team Management and Leadership
• Build a multi-disciplinary and high performing team capable of developing innovative communication and marketing campaigns
• Define and implement functional operating model utilizing appropriate level of talent to be successful
• Develop staff by capitalizing on their strengths and finding ways to upskill where gaps exist
Relationship Management
• Serve as a trusted resource for the Executive Leadership team
• Collaborate with the Executive Leadership team to set the direction and tone for the organization
• Integrate with all communication functions and corporate partners (enterprise communications, facilities, business divisions) to drive effective strategies into collaborative communications campaigns
Qualifications
• A minimum of 10-12 years of corporate, senior executive communications experience using internal and external communication capabilities
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Excellent executive presence, professionalism and ability to influence and build partnerships at all levels; outstanding collaboration, interpersonal communication, verbal and presentation skills
• Working experience and excellent track record for creating and delivering a communications strategy with the ability to measure success, while providing senior executives with sound advice and guidance across all communications activities
• Seasoned experience creative writing skills with ability to capture the executive’s voice and elevate their content and presence
• Ability to simplify complex content and write in a clear, succinct and engaging format
• Solid project management skills with ability to develop and execute multiple end-to-end programs and communication deliverables concurrently and with little oversight and working under tight deadline
• Working experience with ability to identify and implement multimedia platforms, social media and visual storytelling; ability to bring data and concepts to life in visual, dynamic and interactive ways
• Solid leadership skills and passion for coaching others to build and transform a team to future state
• Desire and passion to make a difference and do more than is required by the job to ensure the success of the mission, business, and people
