Position Description
The Senior Sales Performance Analyst will be primarily tasked with supporting and achieving SmartAuction's strategic objectives through creation of management reporting and data analytics. This role will interact with various levels within the Remarketing Solutions/SmartAuction department, from Executive Management to Sales Leadership.
The Analyst should be able to identify business challenges and opportunities for improving revenue performance and solve them using data analytics and making strategic or tactical recommendations. This position will play a key role in upgrading the reporting and analytical capabilities of the SmartAuction team with a strong focus on delivering accurate, dynamic and actionable information to increase overall business results.
The ideal candidate must be passionate about delivering results, be an innovative and strategic thinker, willing to challenge status quo, learn quickly, be self-motivated, detail oriented, and can sift through voluminous amounts of information to pinpoint which items are relevant to understanding business results.
They should be able to apply knowledge of business and balanced judgment in interpretation of data (analytics). Demonstrate an understanding of and the ability to analyze quantitative information presented in a variety of formats with limited turnaround times.
Job Responsibilities
• Develop and execute ad hoc and ongoing reporting and analysis for SmartAuction team, with a key focus on bridging over to Microsoft Power BI
• Utilize data and provide executive/detailed summaries in various formats, such as pivot tables, excel files and through powerpoint presentations
• Streamline, with an eye for improvement, all current SmartAuction reporting
• Co-ordinate between cross-functional groups (sales, operations, IT, compliance, risk etc.) to identify and align operational performance with corporate financial results
• Develop into a Subject Matter Expert on all data elements and processes related to both SmartAuction and the overall remarketing industry
Qualifications
Required:
• A Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics or similar discipline with quantitative focus
• 3 - 5 years of experience in the financial services industry, with knowledge of (or exposure to) auto remarketing or auto retail dealership industry
• Advanced knowledge MS office suite
• Candidate should possess outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to details
• Quick learner and has demonstrated ability to initiate, develop and execute small to medium scale projects
• Work well within a team of analysts and collaborate with individuals with technical and non-technical backgrounds
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present material to senior executives
• Ability to work effectively in fast paced environment with tight deadlines
Preferred:
• Experience in auto remarketing industry
• Advanced knowledge in developing queries and procedures in SAS (ex. EG) and SQL
• Knowledge of MS PowerBI, Pivot Tables, and other analytical tools
