Major Responsibilities:
• Business Development - Focus is on the achievement of new business goals as part of NOI requirements. Actively participates in the development of new prospect relationships and the conversion of those prospects to new bank clients. Maintains and cultivates strategic referral sources.
• Financial - Meet or exceed the Middle Market budget for Commercial Assets and Core Earnings after performance center accounting for the Southern California Division. Number of referrals to performance product areas will be evaluated versus goal.
• Sales Management - Provide assistance to the RMs by attending prospect calls, and being actively engaged as a deal advocate in the pre-screen process; work closely with the RVPs in sales management process. Work closely with Credit Administration, the SCM and Credit Center to be certain that we execute on our key opportunities and resolve workflow issues.
• Corporate Responsibility - Demonstrate leadership and management skills across the Bank and active participation in a professional organization(s) in the community.
• Risk Management -Balance the pursuit of earnings growth and financial performance with disciplined risk management practices by: Actively demonstrating knowledge and sensitivity to the current regulatory environment and compliance with regulations including privacy, anti-money laundering, consumer protection, and fair lending; Proactively identifying and being accountable for addressing risks such as credit and operational risk inclusive of information security, data accuracy/integrity, and fiduciary duties; and Understanding the business units risk limits and managing the operations and control environment within those to avoid losses and be responsive to audit or risk management recommendations.
Qualifications
• 10+ years of Commercial Banking experience.
• Strong credit underwriting and structuring skills
• Strong presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated success at new business development.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of existing credit standards
• Ability to handle several complex tasks simultaneously
• Ability to travel within assigned regional territory
