Opportunity Overview
The HR Records department is responsible for managing all pre/post hire transactions for firm associates and pre/post onboarding transactions for contractors in both the US and Canada. This position would be responsible for a team of HR Records Specialists whose scope of work ranges from processing pre and post hire transactions; to managing unemployment; to managing personnel files and data for the firm.
• Anticipates, analyzes, and investigates issues and implements solutions independently or with the help of the team regarding processes, systems, regulations, data quality, and resource needs
• Research, analyze, and resolve complex and non-routine department and external problems related to team dynamics, data processing, hiring processes, data security, SEC/federal/state/firm policies and regulations, and vendor relations
• Ensure successful team performance by developing, implementing, and overseeing strategies and processes
• Work directly with Department Leader to establish project strategies. Routinely manages medium to large sized projects with varying degrees of complexity.
• Collaborates and builds relationships with various internal divisions, departments, and vendors
• Hire, supervise, coach and retain a team of talented associates
• Track various reports and auditing related information in Microsoft Excel
• Adhere to state/federal regulations and the firm's Written Supervisory Procedures
Position Requirements
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an Human Resources environment
• Minimum 2 years of experience leading a team of associates
• Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking, and organization skills are required
• Ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• PeopleSoft HRMS and PeopleSoft Query experience is strongly preferred
• Microsoft Word and Excel experience required
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required
