AVP/Director
Job Description and Responsibility:
• Assisting with managing a team covering the $20 billion BREDS loan portfolio, including the firm’s sponsored private drawdown funds and publicly-listed REIT, Blackstone Mortgage Trust (NYSE: BXMT)
• Partnering with investment professionals and others in BREDS Finance to execute investment closings and financing transactions
• Reviewing the interest income/expense calculations, funding/paydown activity and investment remittance activity reporting delivered to the accounting teams for monthly/quarterly financial reporting and disclosures
• Reviewing regular monthly and quarterly investment portfolio analytics and any other reporting provided to senior management
• Coordinating the ongoing debt/equity capitalization plan for each investment in the portfolio to optimize the cost of capital for the various investment vehicles
• Providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff regarding complex transaction activity of the portfolio
Qualifications:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, the successful candidate should have:
• BS (or above) in Accounting or Finance is required
• 7-10 years of experience
• Strong written, verbal communication, and Microsoft Excel skills required
• Experience in fixed income and derivative investments is required
• Experience in the real estate or asset-management industry is preferred
