The Wealth Management Communication & Education Specialistis primarily responsible for the planning of employee communications and educational training activities for the Wealth Management division under the strategic direction of the Wealth Management leadership team. This includes the development of communication messages that will be used for internal audiences that align with, support and enhance the goals and objectives of the Wealth Management division. In addition, the Wealth Management Communication & Education Specialist will develop and maintain employee education and training material. Monitors and maintains all training records for audit purposes and report generation for management
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Support in the development and implementation of an internal communications strategy. Under the direction of management, this position will work closely with division and line of business leaders to implement overall communications strategy for the division including research and content development. Attend regular division meetings, as needed, participate in division training and other strategies to better understand division objectives and develop communication support strategies. Promote the division’s objectives, change initiatives, process updates, and other relevant messages to employees throughout the footprint
2. Assist in the management, distribution and design of division-wide communications, including developing an internal communications site. Create strategic messaging and utilize a variety of tools to communicate Wealth-specific information to management and staff across the footprint. Research best-practices, create content, distribute content, and evaluate/measure results of the communications shared. Develop and foster relationships with division stakeholders, including senior management, corporate communications, internal experts, and business partners
3. Contribute to the development and implement wealth-specific employee education programs to promote deeper knowledge of wealth management lines of business. Organize and manage routine cross-wealth learning sessions by market including creation and distribution of job aides, user guides, reference tools, webinar content, etc. Partner with EES to maintain and deliver employee onboarding and training plans within the internal Learning Management System. Partner with EES to develop and deliver learning content across multiple lines of business and in multiple formats
4. Develop and maintain reporting for all communication and training initiatives. Evaluate and report on communication effectiveness to ensure programs meet both business and strategic objectives. Monitor outcomes and provide effective reporting to wealth leaders.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
• Excellent writing skills, with demonstrated ability to research stories, develop narrative, and produce finished product
• Experience with communication measurement and data organization.
• Knowledge of AP-style copywriting and editing
• Strong ability to communicate complicated concepts and technical data in simple terms
• Strong organization and planning skills
• Strong knowledge of Communications, Journalism and Public Relations.
• Strong consulting skills and comfort providing communication strategy expertise
• Familiarity with supporting software applications (Photoshop, InDesign, FrontPage)
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, or Communications emphasis and 3+ years previous experience public relations, marketing or communications and community relations; or 7+ years of equivalent education/experience.
