Position Overview
QS Investors, LLC is a NYC based investment firm providing asset management and advisory services to a diverse array of institutional and retail clients. An independent, wholly owned subsidiary of Legg Mason, QS Investors manages over $20 billion in quantitative global equity and multi-asset strategies.
The Performance Analyst will report to the Head of Business Management and support her and the President of QS Investors with a broad scope of responsibilities. This is a highly visible role requiring extensive interaction with QS Investor’s Executive Committee and other functional areas. The Performance Analyst will support the development of a performance management framework. The role is responsible for supporting the design, development, analysis, interpretation and presentation of statistical data for many investment management functions.
Key Responsibilities:
• To interpret and provide accurate and timely performance information to mangers in a format that is easily understood and relevant to the decision making process.
• Develop, and adapt as necessary, information systems to report on key performance indicators to ensure that managers can measure, monitor and continuously improve performance.
• Design and coordinate the production of complex performance metrics to assist with benchmarking analysis of various functions.
• Ensure that performance reports are produced for senior management and ensuring that all reporting deadlines are met.
• Work closely with the technology team and other functional areas as project manager to automate reporting requirements.
• Assist the QS President and Head of Business Management with other types of investment and financial analysis.
Qualifications:
• 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience as an Analyst
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in a business related major. CFA is a plus.
• Candidate must be highly motivated, a self–starter and team oriented.
• Very strong analytical, communication and written skills.
• Applied knowledge of information and technology systems, including financial analysis and investment management metrics included in Excel.
