About Third Party Program Management
The Third Party Program Management (TPPM) group is a dedicated first line of defense function within Reengineering & Expense Management (REM) and the Finance division, established to more effectively manage risks associated with Morgan Stanley's use of internal and external Third Parties to provide goods and services. TPPM is part of REM alongside Accounts Payable and Firmwide Sourcing.
TPPM's key objectives are:
• Enable a firm-wide Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) program based in 1st LoD
• Implement a firm-wide TPRM strategy, processes and tools
• Execute due diligence and ongoing monitoring
• Implement clear, consistent information and reporting to identify, measure, monitor and manage firm-wide risks
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
The Position
Role: Vice President, Global Data Analytics & Reporting Lead
Location: New York, NY
Reports to: Global Lead for Regulatory Governance, Processes, and Concentration Risk
Scope: Global outsourcing Management Information (MI) and analysis
Responsibilities
The role will be responsible for development and analysis of data to help the TPPM team understand risks and identify improvement opportunities. The role will include partnering with various global stakeholders in the Firm to analyze and operationalize requirements as well as conduct analyses and present findings to Senior Management and governance committees.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Development of metrics and dashboards to allow internal and external stakeholders to understand risks resulting from the outsourcing of products and services
• Facilitate through MI the process for monitoring of adherence to Firm's global strategy, risk appetite and tolerance levels for outsourcing
• Partnering with Compliance and other TPPM stakeholders on interpretation and operationalization of regulatory requirements in relation to outsourcing MI
• Work with regional stakeholders across Americas, EMEA and Asia to ensure local reporting requirements are met
• Assist Regulatory Relations and/ or Compliance on reporting requests from regulators
• Act as a central point of contact for outsourcing MI within the TPPM organization
• Development of metrics for monitoring of concentration risk at service, country and Third Party-level
• Analysis of concentration risk metrics, trend identification and reporting to TPPM stakeholders and governance committees
• Ongoing process improvement and identification of opportunities to automate and streamline reporting
• Presentations and reporting to senior management and governance committees
• Work closely with Operational Risk, Compliance, Business Units, and Technology as it relates to identifying and implementing technical solutions for reporting
• Support execution of change and remediation programs led by TPPM, as and when required
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have experience with data mining, development and reporting, preferably in Third Party and outsourcing risk management. More specifically, qualifications ought to include:
• 7+ years of experience in global Banking or Financial Services organizations, preferably in roles relating to Third Party and outsourcing risk management
• 5+ years of experience in development and analysis of management information and working with enterprise reporting systems
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements for managing of Third Party and outsourcing risk in Financial Services organizations
• Demonstrated analytical capabilities along with the ability to translate analysis into tactics and results
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
• High proficiency business intelligence and reporting tools, e.g. QlikView, Tableau, MicroStrategy
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and act as a thought partner with team mates, senior leadership, and key stakeholders is critically important
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and proven ability to effectively interact with team members, clients, and peers, earning their trust and establishing credibility
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
