BI Visualization Designer
(BI Analyst)
As a BI Visualization Designer (BI Analyst), you are a data storyteller.
The primary responsibility of this role is to understand business needs and translate into a compelling narrative, with the creative ability to transform data that allows business users to progress summarized data into detail.
In this role, you will provide subject matter expertise to lead/educate leaders and stakeholders on analytical concepts and practices, integrating new analytics and ideas into existing work, and create the ability to operate the Firm using data insights.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work with various internal business groups to customize and design reports using Tableau, Microstrategy, Oracle, and similar tools.
• Provide insight by transforming large sets of data into simplified, meaningful, and actionable trends and visualizations for use by executives, operations, finance, marketing, and other internal departments
• Responsible for report availability, accuracy, and integrity
• Business analysis to gather and document business requirements.
• Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to drive and develop data objects and/or framework ensuring business smart resource allocation
• Analyze, design and develop dashboards and/or reports using the framework along with in-depth data testing following best practices and guidelines
• Creates and develops complex dashboards, reports, and visualizations in support of firm initiatives and programs
• Serve as a technical and functional business intelligence subject matter expert, and educate firm leaders on analytical concepts and best practices
Position Requirements
Position Qualifications:
• BA degree required, preferably in the areas of finance, business, analytics, engineering, computer science or information systems. MBA or other advanced degree/CPA designation preferred.
• 4 + years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Experience developing dashboards using Tableau, Microstrategy or similar technology.
• Technical proficiency is required in visualization tools, business intelligence tools, data modeling techniques as well as basic knowledge of SQL.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to interact with and present to all levels
