To manage a team of Digital Media Designers and ensure that the materials developed by the team meet client needs, are of the highest quality, and and are completed on time and within budget. To manage post production activities, and resolve or escalate technical problems.
Duties and Responsibilites
Leads and manages staff. Provides guidance, training and motivation as necessary to develop staff. Hires, evaluates and counsels personnel. Follows corporate disciplinary procedures per established Vanguard standards as required. Sets challenging performance standards, reviews performance, provide feedback, and recommends wage increases in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
Maintains a highly competent team through professional development, recruitment of new crew, and provides guidance, training, and motivation as necessary to develop technical, interpersonal and business acumen skills.
Establishes and maintains standard operating procedures and workflows. Monitors staff adherence to project tracking/backup/archiving requirements for efficient management of a central repository of video files, audio files and all digital assets.
Monitors and guides multimedia designers to ensure delivery of high-quality multimedia programs within brand standards.
Promotes continuous improvement though proactive solutions, obtaining buy-in on new ideas, and implementing solutions.
Participates in research, visioning, and strategy development to ensure we stay on the leading edge of multimedia technology. Participates in vendor discussions, conferences and new product development to enhance the client experience.
Provides first-line response as deemed appropriate, and works with applicable resources to research and resolve issues. Elevates problems that may impact operations.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and work experience; graduate degree preferred.
• Minimum three to five years supervisory experience with strong leadership skills.
• Minimum three to five years related multimedia experience.
• Demonstrated initiative (self-starting) and possesses strong organizational skills.
• Demonstrated planning, analytical, and problem solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to interact within all levels within the organization and willingness to work in a team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Special Factors
Ability to work beyond scheduled hours occasionally, to accommodate deadlines.
