Description
• The Operations Manager oversees the operational aspects of the financial center and is the manager of all tellers in that center. As their manager, the Operations Manager I focuses on the retention of tellers and the development of future leaders.
• The Operations Manager controls the technical performance of the center by limiting operational risk by exercising judgment when reviewing transactions and by developing decision-making skills in the tellers in that center. The Operations Manager I ensures that their teller transactions, as well as those of the team, are completed accurately and efficiently.
• The Operations Manager I has mastery skill levels in audit functions and understands the importance of maintaining operational controls.
• The Operations Manager supports and directs the customer service effort of the center. The Operations Manager monitors teller staffing and works in a teller window as needed to provide excellent service. The Operations Manager sets the tone for the center by creating an inviting and positive work environment. The Operations Manager communicates effectively with tellers and models proactive problem solving with customers.
• The Operations Manager supports the sales efforts of the center by providing training and motivation during teller promotions.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
• Successful completion of Operations Manager Certification.
• Meets promotional performance requirement of 2.0 rating.
• Ability to sell products and services to meet sales goals.
• Ability to evaluate situations and make appropriate business decisions.
• Ability to manage and motivate others to set and achieve goals.
• Ability to manage multiple and/or conflicting responsibilities.
• Ability to work independently and without direct supervision.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and to lift up to 25 pounds in coin and currency.
• Ability to promote the appropriate company image and maintain a professional attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Act as an effective team player.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills with knowledge of email functions and Microsoft Office. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good aptitude for math.
• Knowledge of bank operating procedures.
• Knowledge of basic aspects of financial services.
• Knowledge of security procedures.
• Outstanding customer service skills including researching and resolving customer issues.
