Job Description
GENERAL FUNCTION
The Master's Program - Associate Banker is designed to advance the careers of college graduates while also participating in training that promotes professional and personal growth. After successful completion of the training program, associates are prepared for positions with excellent opportunities for advancement. This position will work closely with subject matter experts to exercise learned skills on driving bank business through creation of internal and external relationships, cross-selling products/services and carrying out operational processes along the way. Associates will work within various roles alongside executive leaders to develop their credit, financial analyst, relationship management and branch management abilities. All concentrations consist of intense classroom and on-the-job training with an emphasis in providing excellent client service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develops leadership and business acumen within several LOB's with a concentrated focus on the credit, commercial and operations divisions.
• Participate in field rotations across various commercial, retail and operational departments, acquiring skills and knowledge in relationship management and products/services.
• Responsible to implement and execute skills and specific knowledge on live bank demands.
• Responsible for obtaining and spreading financial statements for routine requests for extensions of credit.
• Prepared written analyses on all large loans, aggregate lending vs. indebtedness for individual borrowers, complex loans, and weak loans.
• Provide cross-selling of the Bank's lending, depository and cash management products to new and existing bank clients, performing these duties as a trusted financial advisor to targeted prospective clients and existing client base.
• Assists in providing evaluation of potential Borrower loan requests and makes loan recommendations to Senior Commercial Lender and Wholesale Banking Executive and/or Loan Committee.
• Develops new business opportunities and maintains adequate growth of appropriately priced and structured deposit relationships, in order to protect bank branch interests.
• Adheres to program performance guidelines and special projects as assigned.
• Adhere to confidentiality policy, code of ethics and follow all policies and procedures relative to Consumer Compliance laws and regulations and best practice recommendations.

Minimum Requirements
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, or Finance.
• Coursework in financial accounting and corporate finance.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• Proven on and off campus leadership experience demonstrating excellence and achieving results.
• Excellent communication skills - both written and spoken. Proven analytical skills.
• Strong work ethic in individual project work and as a team member.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to build and maintain positive relationships both internally and externally.
