Responsible for development and execution of our strategic roadmap, driving sourcing transformation across the organization, category plans and negotiation strategies and outcomes that enable scalability, efficiency, cost effectiveness and improved supplier performance by collaborating across all levels of corporate and business line functional leaders within TCF and our current or prospective suppliers.
Major Areas of Accountability
• Ownership of strategic roadmap that enables scalability, efficiency and cost effectiveness of assigned spend categories for sourcing and procurement across the enterprise. Effectively partners across the enterprise to meet business needs while developing and providing solutions that deliver value and effective spend management.
• Lead the development and oversee the execution of sourcing strategies for assigned spend categories in order to maximize key supplier relationships and value for the organization, including supplier selection, supplier due diligence and risk assessment, contract negotiation and pricing, contract drafting, risk mitigation strategies, supplier relationships, supplier performance, etc.
• Implement defined supplier relationship management framework for your assigned spend categories.
• Create culture to propel meaningful process changes and/or improvements to ensure scalable, repeatable, cost-effective and well-controlled processes to support the business in a compliant, fiscally responsible manner.
• Provide assurance that processes in all areas of responsibility are effectively controlled to appropriately manage risk and that effective change management is in place.
Manage contract cycles, including renewal, terminations, and amendments needed to address business needs. Maximize value creation while maintaining a cohesive category strategy and managing risk for assigned categories. Qualifications

Education
Required:
• Bachelor’s in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience
Preferred:
• MBA, JD or advanced degree
Work Experience/Skills:
Required:
• 7 or more years of progressive leadership experience in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering Sourcing, Procurement. Experience with negotiating and drafting strategic contracts, multi-level relationship management, prospect to pay processes and technology and large-scale process/project management as well as operational, customer service and financial management expertise.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity, create a strategy to address all stakeholder needs, and execute strategy meeting business needs.
• Strong business and technical acumen and ability; exhibits a leadership/executive presence and character that inspires trust of all levels, including characteristics of integrity, common sense, maturity, intelligence, strategic mindedness, creativity, independent thinking, initiative, energy and a hands-on orientation.
• Ability and experience leading and working with teams, managing through influence and delivering results in matrix organizations, including internal and external relationships, and on- and off-shore third parties to execute on business/commodity/category strategy while meeting multiple stakeholder needs.
• Demonstrated 360 degree leadership and ability to effectively build relationships and collaborate with key business partners within and outside the organization; including driving creation of a shared vision and facilitating high-performing teams. Expertise working with a team to execute on strategy while balancing cost, productivity and timeliness.
• Exceptional communication skills, effective with a variety of audiences. Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely and to influence and negotiate critical, significant contracts on behalf of the organization.
• Curiosity to learn with a strong process and technology mindset. Passion for continuous improvement of self, process, and services delivered to the enterprise resulting in customer service excellence.
Preferred:
• Financial services and/or banking experience or experience in a highly regulated industry.
