We Offer
The Global Markets (“GM”) division within Credit Suisse (“CS”) is seeking an innovative, analytical and strategic thinker to join the Strategy team. The GM Strategy team reports to the GM COO and GM CFO and works with the GM CEO and Management Committee to set and execute key strategic priorities for the division. This group is focused on finding opportunities and executing initiatives critical to GM’s short- and long-term growth and plays a significant role in the execution of CS’ strategy. The role is highly visible, with opportunities to work with CS and GM senior leaders and is well suited for an individual who enjoys solving complex problems, works effectively with cross functional teams and thrives in a dynamic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Be a key contributor to the GM strategy and priorities – analyzing market landscape, peer group, and GM products, clients and positioning
• Identify key business opportunities and/or issues, structure analyses to resolve financial and strategic impact (e.g., client/product profitability analysis) and propose efficient and implementable solutions (prioritizing them and partnering across the organization to implement)
• Articulate the GM strategy, key priorities and performance for internal presentations and external reporting
• Stay ahead of major developments in the industry (e.g., regulations, competition) that create new opportunities or challenges to the business
• Synthesize analytical results and tailor messages for executive level discussions - including the GM Management Committee, CS Executive Board, the Board of Directors, and other operating senior executives
• Influence and build trust based relationships with senior leadership, management and peers across CS
• Have total flexibility to work across all areas of the GM division, being able to quickly shape work, learn new specific skills and to deliver high-quality results
• Run strategy team, while leading and coordinating cross-functional teams that vary in terms of size and degrees of seniority
You Offer
• 10+ years of experience in financial services or management consulting in a related field (at least 3+ years in corporate strategy or strategy consulting); relevant product experience is a significant plus
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively while applying sound business judgement and quantitative analytics
• Extraordinary strategic analysis, problem solving, issue resolution and decision making skills; data science experience is a significant plus
• You have outstanding interpersonal and engagement skills with the ability to build consensus across divisions and various levels of seniority, while gaining respect of senior management and business teams
• Powerful communicator with the ability to convey thoughts effectively and influence decisions
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel is critical for this role
• Ability to lead multiple projects and meet competing deadlines
• Extraordinary attention to detail and ability to distill large amounts of complex information into a readily digestible work product
• You have proven leadership skills, intellectual curiosity and a strong work ethic
• Experience managing project teams with members from around the world with the ability to build and maintain a network of relationships to help navigate complex situations
• Undergraduate degree from a leading university, preferably with coursework in economics or finance; Masters/MBA a plus
