Job Title Director, Product Management, Investment Services
What does a great Director of Product Management do?
Come join Fiserv’s Investment Services organization! As part of the Product Strategy and Management Team, you will be an integral member of the leadership team delivering on the forward-looking strategy and partnering with the organization to realize the management road map. You will be expected to provide the leadership, management and vision to ensure the continued success of Fiserv’s Investment Services solutions portfolio of products and solutions. This role will drive enhanced product management capability with a strategic vision for your suite of products.
Reports To: VP Product Strategy
Essential Job Responsibilities:
The Director, Product Management is responsible for leading a team of professionals to take a proactive role through the entire product life cycle to deliver market driven capability which will in turn drive the achievement of revenue opportunities for our products. Building products from existing ideas, and helping develop new ideas based on industry experience and contact with customers and prospects.
Directs a team of Product Managers to attain objectives for revenue and profitable growth, product requirements and successful deployment. Coach and mentor staff to attain increasing capabilities and capacity for Product Management. Provide and encourage develop and drive enhanced engagement within your team and across the organization. Recruit and retain product leaders who will complement the high-quality standards of the existing Product Management team. Increase and share knowledge and skills in all functions of Product Management while applying these skills to program creating, deployment and coaching. Grow knowledge of latest product management practices and apply Pragmatic Marketing Framework in market research, product organization, competitive analysis, go to market and launch. Drive these into the local organization to improve overall product management performance. Work with Architecture, Development and Delivery representatives to achieve desired outcomes through successful delivery of the product roadmap. Provide leadership and guidance to team and other stakeholders through all aspects of the Product Delivery Lifecycle (PDLC). Prioritize incoming work to identify areas of focus for future delivery. Lead client advisory councils, including meetings, content generation, speaker selection, and client interaction activities
Required Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business/information systems management, marketing or business or (15) years of relevant experience. MBA or Master Degree preferred.
Job Related Experience:
• Strong understanding of the Financial Services and Lending industry.
• Strong leadership skills, ability to effectively manage talented staff, and work with business partners.
• Proven ability to understand complex business and technical concepts and to be able to make good judgment when faced with trade-offs
• Ability to work independently and maintain tight deadlines
• Strong results orientation with demonstrated track record of success
• Management experience desired
• High degree of adaptability
• Ability to deliver results in a matrixed environment
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
• A minimum of seven years’ experience in Product Management
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues leading to thoughtful recommendations, action plans and campaigns that drive high ROI.
• Strong Leadership skills, ability to effectively manage talented staff and work with business partners
• Proven ability to understand complex business and technical concepts and to be able to make good judgment when faced with trade-offs
• Ability to work independently and maintain tight deadlines.
• Strong results orientation with a demonstrated track record of success
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA) preferred
Travel required: 40%
