We are seeking a self-motivated, collaborative, intellectually curious accounting professional with a strong work ethic to join our Central Accounting team. The experienced, ambitious team leader with the ability to drive change, improve processes and motivate a team towards a common goal. To be successful in this role, the candidate needs to be able to grasp the business operations and vital processes of the business, be able to lead and manage a diverse staff, excel in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment and oversee multiple projects while remaining focused on big picture objectives.
The position is located in Alpharetta, Georgia.
You will report directly to the Director of Central Accounting and you will manage a team of 8 people.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
• Responsible for providing day-to-day direction to the general ledger teams ensuring company transactions are in accordance with GAAP and approximately 100 balance sheet accounts are reconciled and reviewed monthly
• Oversees the processes, controls and accounting for payroll, prepaid expenses, travel and expense, cash, intercompany, escheatment, cost allocations, and foreign currency transactions Supports month-end close processes for ETG, Corporate Accounting and GSO finance ensuring financial compliance
• Assesses current accounting processes and internal controls and directs change or enhancements to increase efficiency, streamline processes, and consolidate tasks
• Collaborates with cross functional groups across Fiserv to add value on projects Supports international accounting to properly reconcile, pay and clear intercompany activity as well as review and record regulatory ledger adjustments
• Fosters a positive and proactive work environment, emphasizing respect for individuals, high standards of quality, customer service, innovation and teamwork.
• Drives strong results orientation within department by motivating staff and holding them accountable to meeting customer needs and organizational goals
• Supports personnel by counseling and directing employees in areas of improvement
• Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent business degree required
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Exceptional interpersonal, leadership and decision-making skills.
•Excellent analytical, project management and organization skills with keen attention to detail.
Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:
•Certified Public Accountant a plus
•Master’s Degree in Business a plus
•5 or more years of experience managing the Accounting function and leading teams
•SAP experience a significant plus
