Job Summary:
Provide data analyses to a department or group. Prepare complex analytical reports. Conduct highly technical operating risk-based research and analysis projects to provide management with definitive operational risk data and advice. May provide direction to junior-level analysts.
Major Responsibilities:
Perform scrub and validation of loss data. Perform follow-up on unusual activity and exception items. Conduct complex loss analyses to provide information and recommendations to management, such as variance, trend, peer group, or performance analyses. Provide written analyses and interpretation of results. Assist in correlation of key risk indicator data to loss data and correlation of loss data to self-assessment data. Write and maintain desktop procedures for various department processes like validation and loss data maintenance. Prepare complex operational risk reports for various audiences. Audiences include BTM, ABA loss data consortium, Enterprise-Wide Risk Reporting, CEO Forum, and Senior & Executive Management and Board of Directors. Maintain a loss database and a key risk indicator database. Run complex reports and/or programs; develop new applications as needed. Act as liaison between department and systems personnel to develop or enhance systems. May provide work direction to junior analysts or act as project leader.
Qualifications
Additional Information:
Typically requires a degree from a four-year college (e.g., B.A., B.S.) and 6+ years of technical experience as a data analyst OR equivalent, comparable experience. Requires the ability to design and develop spreadsheets, databases or custom reports for self and others.
