Job Summary:
The Foreclosure Specialist is responsible for managing foreclosure proceedings on assigned portfolio in accordance with all state and Federal laws while maintaining compliance with Investor, Insurer, Agency and company guidelines. Ensure that all foreclosure processing steps are completed accurately and timely.
Major Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain a good business relationship with internal and external vendors and borrowers.
• Manage daily, weekly and bi-monthly reports to ensure that all foreclosure events are proceeding within a timely fashion.
• Ensure foreclosure delays are decisioned appropriately, are executed timely and are applied in accordance with applicable guidelines.
• Perform required research on application of payments, property foreclosure notification and assignments as needed.
• Prepare bidding instructions, ensuring compliance with Investor, Insurer, Agency and company guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and complete information in system of record.
Review, research, identify and resolve title issues for foreclosed properties; coordinate with internal staff, external vendors, title companies and attorneys.
• Decision funds received.
• File initial Government and Conventional claims and supplemental claims as required.
• Ensure prompt submission of mortgage insurance claims and reconcile payments.
• File surplus funds claims.
• Monitor senior lien sale activities.
Assist with development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist in managing aspects of vendor management including SLAs and conference calls to communicate feedback as to quality of work.
• Assist in managing internal and external audits.
• Aid management in new hire training, cross-training and back-up when others are out of the office.
• Complete special projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications
• Requires a high school diploma.
• 3 to 5 years of foreclosure, title, bankruptcy and/or mortgage servicing experience preferred.
• Superior knowledge of the foreclosure process including Agency guidelines, tools, systems and options.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and MSP.
