POSITION SUMMARY:
National Audit Practice – Audit Innovation Product Owner – Senior Associate
Grant Thornton, LLP is excited to welcome an Audit Innovation Product Owner to our Audit Strategy and Innovation team as we work together to create the Audit of the Future today. In this role you will focus on deploying innovations (advanced data analytics, RPA tools, etc.) into our audit practice and communicating to clients and prospects the story of our constantly evolving capabilities. This role requires a sound understanding of audit methodology combined with strategic thinking and strong relationship skills (listening, verbal communication, and empathy). This role will allow for an entrepreneurial spirit who is looking for an opportunity to launch a product while staying connected to the traditional audit path.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Determining the strategy to roll out products to the audit practice
• Developing and delivering training
• Developing internal and external marketing materials
• Supporting audit teams in using various innovative capabilities; communicating to prospects and clients regarding their use
• Finding and highlighting audit teams effectively using the tools to promote best practices
• Generating and soliciting maintenance enhancement opportunities to increase functionality and ease of use
• Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 2-6 years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function, servicing cross-industry clients at a national level
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required with additional degrees in Information Technology preferred
• CPA License preferred
• Knowledge of advanced data analytics and robotic process automation tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to define technical specifications based on audit team meetings on innovation requirements
• Travel percentage: around 20-25%
