Overview of the Role
The Head of Infrastructure Processes runs day to day operations of existing processes and ensures continuous improvement of those processes. This includes incident, problem, change, configuration, metrics and other processes as they mature and require governance. This role is accountable for ensuring that a process is fit for purpose and attains the business value set out by the objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
You will coordinate day-to-day execution of assigned processes which include:
• Chair governance meetings for Problem and Change and other processes as needed.
• Ensure standards and procedures are being followed. Facilitate tactful issue resolution as needed.
• Work with process owners and stakeholders to re-engineer processes to be simple, nimble, repeatable, measurable, achievable and continuously improved.
• Guide the design and ongoing improvement of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
• Design and implement comprehensive KPIs and metrics that can be actionable and promote positive behavioral changes; Baseline, improve and re-measure success.
• Champion best practices and serve as a subject matter expert
• Provide technical guidance and act as a change agent to help others embrace positive change as new processes are introduced or modified.
• Conduct post mortem meetings and analysis of system outages to ensure root cause is identified and addressed appropriately by the correct team.
• Assist in driving open items resulting from problems and projects to conclusion.
• Monitor incoming change requests to ensure they are properly managed toward implementation.
• Benchmark operations, analyze bottlenecks and propose solutions to eliminate them.
• Facilitate and coordinate technical problem review meetings including leading and facilitating post mortem investigations of managed incidents and managing root cause analysis between technical teams. Heavy use of handling IT applications and infrastructure problem tickets through discovery and resolution. Must be able in interact across the enterprise with all technologists, management and infrastructure managers.
• Train new joiners and current staff as required.
• Ensure completeness and integrity of information collected.
• Effectively communicating changes to processes
• Responsible for continually driving process maturity and efficacy.
• Assist in the strategic direction on processes and technologies and ensure effective implementation.
• Solicit feedback from stakeholders and users of processes for continual improvement
• Establishment of measurements and targets to improve process effectiveness and efficiency.
• Assists auditing of the process for compliance with documented procedures.

Technical Skills and Qualifications
Essential
• 3+ years of relevant ITIL service management experience.
• Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and Visio.
• ServiceNow experience.
• Presents ideas to senior management.
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
• Excellent communication skills.
Beneficial
• An understanding of Project Management principles & techniques.
Competencies Required
• Relationship building: Candidate must be able to develop relationships with all levels of IT and the business.
• Problem solving and analysis: understanding of complex issues and problems and ability to form practical/pragmatic solutions
Ongoing competence in the role to be assessed by:
• Annual Performance Appraisal
• Completion of all assigned Compliance training
Working Environment/Physical Activities
• PC usage up to 100% of the time.
• Office equipment such as telephone, copier, and fax machines, etc.
• Cellular phone required.
• May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week, may include weekend/evening/holiday hours.
