Description
The analyst is responsible for processing checks according to standard operating procedures, business rules and regulatory requirements, sending checks out to the clearing banks for collections, crediting customers’ accounts, researching general ledger differences and aged items. The analyst will handle complaints; provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits and follow up to ensure resolution.
• Organize checks and enter check information into the system for processing.
• Perform quality check to ensure proper check processing.
• Process checks according to standard operating procedures, business rules and regulatory requirements.
• Provide credit to customers’ accounts and general ledgers according to business rules and procedures.
• Research general ledger differences and clear aged items.
• Report problems with check processing.
• Handle complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution.
• Work with stakeholders to resolve problems / customer issues.
• Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools.
Qualifications
• Knowledge of check processing including check collection, foreign currency conversion, accounting principles and reconcilement.
• Data Entry Skills and attention to details.
• Organization Skills.
• Ability to work with numbers and calculator.
• Ability to multi task, prioritize and work independently.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.
• Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative.
Education:
High School Diploma required
Hours and Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
