Role Responsibilities
This newly created role will support content marketing initiatives through the creation of bespoke and audience-driven content across a variety of channels, including the Fitch Ratings website, social media, email, third-party syndication channels, print, video and podcasts. In addition, the role will help develop and coordinate day-to-day editorial calendar responsibilities covering both the Fitch Ratings website and individual sector and geographic marketing programs, where content is a key cog. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience developing new and curating existing content for use across multiple marketing channels, with a particular focus on digital content creation and amplification.
• Act as a content marketing subject matter expert, consulting with business partners and advising key stakeholders on how content (both the development and distribution of) can complement sales and business development activity.
• Partner with Fitch analytical specialists in the region to effectively position key thought leadership and intellectual capital, ensuring the business is fully maximizing our premium research content for business development purposes and the company is amplifying key intellectual capital to raise brand visibility in strategic markets
• Work with the Ratings Marketing organization globally to develop marketing copy, brand messaging and content amplification strategies to drive engagement and visibility around strategic areas of focus for the business
• Build and manage a content editorial calendar, working with key stakeholders in Marketing, Publishing, Investor Development and other areas to distill key areas of interest among external market participants in order to prioritize website content initiatives globally and across multiple business areas.
• Facilitate requirements gathering exercises working with Marketing, IT and the business focused on website content presentation and functional enhancements.
• Work alongside marketing counterparts and specialists across video, social media and digital media teams to generate and deploy new and innovative avenues for articulating what are in many cases complex concepts, data sets or commentaries.
• Analyze results of content marketing campaigns by collecting data and deriving insights to help our business partners make more informed decisions
• Coordinate with the internal Graphics team for advertising and marketing content development for events and campaigns
• Provide general marketing support to other team members on an as needed basis around key initiatives globally
Role Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a similar field
• Digital savvy, with proven experience in prior content and research marketing role
• Minimum of 4 years of content marketing experience within financial services, preferably B2B
• Excellent writing, communication and editorial skills required; able to translate complex financial concepts/commentary into easily understandable written/spoken words
• Experience developing content for advertising, website, social media, email, blogs and events; coupled with experience curating source content for multi -use across the same channels.
• Significant experience with content project management including planning, organizing, and executing content-focused initiatives, publications, multi-platform editorial calendars and the like
• Proven experience with digital marketing, including digital advertising, account-based marketing, content syndication, social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc.), and website governance
• Innovative and proactive in identifying new content opportunities and marketing strategies on behalf of the business
• Experience with website content management and requirements gathering processes
• Experience working in a global organization is preferred
• Experience working in a fast paced environment with multiple deadlines
• Ability to maintain and develop campaign and project plans and present to stakeholders, including analyzing and presenting content engagement data and key insights
• Experience with test and learn, A/B testing, etc.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices
