Seeking a Business Manager to be part of a team supporting senior Technology Functional leads who are working to help transform the technology operating model. The business manager will be responsible for the financial management and operational oversight of Centers of Excellence (COEs) as well as the Business Development Office. The COEs are driving change for technology and providing strategic direction for Agile, Cloud, Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, and Data. A key success factor for this role will be to manage relationships with the Sr. area managers to ensure they manage well. Functionally this means covering Budgeting, Forecasting, spend tracking, reporting, resource management in close cooperation with Finance, Firmwide Sourcing and other stakeholders. The Business Manager would be proactively involved in understanding the current versus projected spend streams and cost models as needed. This role will be joining a team of business managers and will also manage support from others including resource, funding and reporting. This role will have a direct report.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Financial management: driving the budget process, reporting, analysis, and allocations
• Overall workforce management including roster management, strategy, reporting and oversight
• Directing oversight of Technology Funding Requests (TFRs)
• Understanding, managing and creating allocations as needed
• Serve as SME for Financial Tools - gain deep understanding of financial toolsets and relationships between them - staffing planner, wallets / TFRs, etc.
• Oversight of the front to back resource and financial process including the processes themselves, accruals, invoices, contracts
• Support senior managers for requests such as executive presentations, ad-hoc financial analysis
• Manage risk and entitlements for the areas
• Support the transformation and simplification of technologies processes
Qualifications
• Strong Analytical and modeling skills
• Self-starter
• Experience with financial reporting / analysis for a technology organization
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills with cross-divisional stakeholders
• Expert with Excel (using formulas and pivot tables) and creating management presentations in PowerPoint
• Execution & deliverable focused
• At least 7 years of professional experience in a similar role, or accounting
• financial controller experience in an international / corporate environment. Prior experience managing technology expenses a plus
• Willingness to take ownership and accountability to execute and deliver on goals; strong commitment to high quality standards
• Excellent time management skills, ability to efficiently prioritize and multitask, and work under pressure to meet deadlines and team objectives
