Position Highlights
The Consultant Payroll Conversion is responsible for supporting routine Implementation and Retirement Plan Services to achieve successful setup of payroll integration for new and existing retirement plan sales. Incumbent will act as project manager and consultant for payroll integration of conventional client groups. The Consultant Payroll Conversion will work side-by-side with the Implementation Consultant during the conversion process and will act as the point of contact with Plan Sponsors, Financial Advisors and Third Party Administrators for all payroll, online enrollment and automatic enrollment related matters for assigned client groups with standard plan set up.
Primary Responsibilities
• Responsible for the successful setup of payroll integration and installation of standard/non-complex new transfer or start-up retirement plan sales.
• Act as the primary contact for Empower for all payroll related matters of assigned client groups.
• Coordinate the integration and mapping of payroll files/methods with conventional plan sponsors to Empower.
• Attend ongoing weekly conference calls on assigned projects and consults with various client contacts including plan sponsors, payroll vendors, financial advisors, third party administrators, relationship/client service managers, regional sales director’s and various internal departments with respect to the timing of conversion, outstanding items, critical tasks and overall project management.
• Discuss and gather required data to support the automatic enrollment and feedback file processes for standard client groups. .
• Discuss service product features with assigned plan sponsors, financial advisors and third party administrators to determine suitability of payroll method and provide comprehensive explanation of administrative duties associated with payroll.
• Maintain established internal deadlines and timelines for all assigned client groups, associated with payroll activity
• Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate FTP (File Transfer Protocol) connections with payroll vendors/clients using direct FTP.
• Works with network payroll vendors for plans transferring to our Payroll Bridge product
• Coordinate with internal departments for issue resolution of incoming cash/payroll files.
• Work with internal departments to review data from prior provider to ensure data load is accurate.
• Map new elementary payroll files ensuring required data is provided to support the plan features.
• Produce quality work on assigned sales through various quality assurance measures.
• Follow established procedures designed to minimize market risks and gain/loss situations.
• Must be willing to work extended hours and overtime during peak seasons or high volume.
• Some travel may be required

Qualifications
• Associates Degree, preferably in Business, Finance or a related field or equivalent related experience.
• FINRA Series 6 registration permitted, but not required. Corporate-established timelines apply to permitted registrations.
• FINRA fingerprinting required.
• 2-4 years of experience in financial industry, with payroll processing knowledge preferred
• Experienced professional with full understand of EASY or other recordkeeping software and knowledge of defined contribution plans preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with business clients Professional office environment and regular use of general office equipment such as computers and phones
