Job Description
Everest Insurance, a member of Everest Re Group, Ltd.,has an opportunity available, due to the continued growth of our Insurance segment, for an Underwriting Director, Excess Casualty - Energy for our Houston office.
Responsibilities will include:
• New and renewal business production underwriting of Energy and Energy related accounts.
• Effectively preserving and enhancing profitability through pricing discipline, competitive analysis and the development of performance metrics and controls
• Developing new business and renewal account strategies for profitable production
• Developing and maintaining relationships with brokers to facilitate new and renewal business
• Adhering to underwriting guidelines and protocols
• Driving top-notch service and collaboration with other products lines to provide full product support to the client
• Travel is required to visit brokers
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or above and insurance certifications
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in underwriting and managing umbrella and excess casualty
• Strong producer following in retail distribution channels
• Demonstrated ability to generate profitable new business
• Strong relationship management skills
• Excellent analytical, communication, and computer skills
• Ability to successfully complete multiple tasks concurrently within a fast-paced, team-oriented, working environment
• Customer-oriented approach
