Position Description
The Modeling & Analytics Program Office Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and use of complex quantitative models covering a wide variety of products or services. The individual will be responsible for ensuring that model development teams, model validation teams, and model implementation teams work together to develop and achieve defined timelines for model implementation following defined processes. The individual will also be responsible for maintaining model project management standards and procedures, maintaining a project plan and schedule for model development projects, partnering with resources across the organization to manage communication, and ensuring efficient allocation of development resources.
Job Responsibilities
Key duties and responsibilities of this position include, but may not be limited to:
• Maintaining a model management framework supporting model development, validation, implementation, and use
• Maintaining schedules and coordinating with all model lifecycle participants to meet targeted implementation dates
• Managing interdependencies, risk, and competing priorities
• Collaborating across teams to develop requirements and define target timelines
• Ensuring model scope, objectives, and scope are understood and clearly documented
• Delivering information on status and health of modeling projects, including but not limited to timing, scope, issues, risks, and competing priorities
• Escalating issues and risks appropriately
• Providing analysis and identifying trends, efficiency opportunities, and risk mitigation strategies
• Producing scorecards and metrics tracking / reporting
• Conducting Model stage reviews
• Coordinating internal and external regulatory and audit requests
• Maintaining procedures to enhance the effectiveness of operational controls and consistency
Qualifications
• A bachelor's degree and 4+ years experience in project coordination, project office management, quantitative analysis and/or other relevant work
• Working knowledge of model development and validation processes
• Working knowledge of financial service products and risk characteristics
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, negotiation, and project management skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Expertise in Microsoft tools, including Excel, Power Point, and Word
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
