The Merchant Services – U.S. (MS – U.S.) team’s charter is to enable American Express to be warmly accepted and to help merchants grow. In support of this, the Industry Development team focuses on four key areas: (1) Fundamental enablement of Enterprise-wide initiatives; (2) Industry specific growth strategies for MS – U.S.; (3) Delivering 100% parity acceptance for American Express in 2019; and (4) Ownership of the strategy and execution plan for a comprehensive trade program.
This Analyst will report directly to the Vice President of Industry Development, and will work closely with the Vice President to deliver on key business initiatives and priorities. More specifically, he/she will be responsible for:
• Developing robust strategies by consolidating key data and background information into a cohesive storyline
• Spearheading important processes such as annual investment planning, Business Unit Reviews and managing key dates and deliverables to set the team up for success
• Maintaining a strong partnership with the MS – U.S. Executive Office, Leadership Team, and essential partners across the company to deliver against enterprise wide initiatives
• Providing support on projects across all Director team verticals, spanning from Trade activation to supporting parity acceptance with Visa and MasterCard
• Inspiring a strong, close-knit team culture by managing team engagement, providing leadership and development opportunities, and fostering cross collaboration
