Opportunity Overview
This individual will be responsible for performing multiple operations functions (i.e. processing, service, reconciliation) on a team within the department based on a comprehensive understanding of the work.
Within that role, he or she must be proficient at each of the roles, knowing both how and why the work is performed, and must be able to meet regular performance standards for each role.
This individual will frequently serve as a team resource, filling whatever needs exist based on volume, staffing variations, and overall team needs.
They may participate in and/or lead special projects, both inside and outside of the department, assist with the training of associates, serve as mentor/coach to less skilled associates, serve as work flow coordinator on occasion and identify as well as implement process improvements.
Position Requirements
• A bachelor's degree or relevant work experience is preferred. Appropriate securities registrations will be required if it is required for the work in the department.
• 2+ years of experience in a financial services environment (i.e. brokerage, banking, insurance, etc.) required.
• An advanced knowledge of procedures and systems associated with multiple functions on a team within a department.
• An advanced level of proficiency with Jones systems is preferred.
• Must have strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and handle a heavy workload in order to be able to fulfill all the roles on the team.
• Must have excellent word-processing and spreadsheet skills, as well as a thorough understanding of Jones' systems.
• Industry knowledge and skills as it relates to products, services, and processes is required.
