We are in search of a Communications & Social Media Specialist who will create content and manage the company’s communications screens on the Intranet. This position is for a forward thinker who likes being creative and innovative when it comes to engaging an audience.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
In this role, you will…
• Write, edit and produce internal and external communications materials as necessary. This includes brainstorming ideas for campaigns, suggesting creative solutions to challenges and working with other team members to achieve successful, effective programs. Ensure that quality standards are met by reviewing the accuracy and completeness of communications materials. This candidate must know grammar to a “T.”
• Write, edit and publish news releases. Monitor, report and analyze company media coverage.
• Consult with internal and external clients to develop appropriate communications solutions to meet their needs. Utilize communications methods and techniques to develop strategic approaches to meet client objectives. Manage the execution of strategic communications plans and the implementation of communications tactics. Monitor and measure communications efforts by obtaining feedback from clients.
• Responsible for developing and managing company social media strategy that aligns with company goals and core brand while growing online audience. Responsible for developing and posting innovative social content for various social media channels for a range of audiences.
• Develop and maintain social media editorial calendar for all channels, campaigns and initiatives. Monitor social conversation and media coverage to develop reports based on engagement data and insights.
• Work closely with executives and sales team to develop individual social strategies and editorial plans. Measure impact and effectiveness of strategies and campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
• Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
WHO YOU ARE
You possess …
• 3-5 years of relevant experience working for large national organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, marketing, communications or related field.
• Excellent project management, time management and organizational skills.
• Positive and engaging personality with a “can-do” attitude.
