The right Project Manager will be willing to work on a dynamic, innovative and entrepreneurial-minded team, and be excited about taking on new challenges to help drive innovation and change, bring diverse perspectives and thinking to our team, and be motivated by the opportunity to solve big problems. The role will provide the individual with an opportunity to work across multiple areas of the organization. The role will report to the Head of Governance and Integration for Fortitude Re.
• Engage with and support work streams in areas such as plan maintenance, status reporting, issue, risk, milestone and critical path management, and cross-functional communications.
• Ensure integration of in-scope projects and adjust project deliverables, scope and timing as needed based on the overall strategy.
• Understand broad project planning requirements; provide guidance to the various work streams, and structure and develop project plans with direction from appropriate functional and business area stakeholders.
• Develop and manage weekly status reports and management reports.
• Facilitate and communicate change management updates to relevant governance committees, and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform general project and program administrative functions.
• Ability to develop relationships and build trust with multiple working teams with competing priorities, and assist in resolving issues
• Work in a dynamic environment while supporting and guiding working teams in achieving their goals and milestones
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested
What we are looking for
We are looking for results-oriented professional with the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced and somewhat ambiguous corporate, yet start-up environment.
The preferred candidate will possess:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Around 5 – 10 years of project management experience
• Proven project management experience leading large, complex, multi-business and functional initiatives
• Experience with project management applications
• Big 4 or similar consulting or transformation type experience
• PMP or other similar certifications preferred
• Financial services experience, preferably
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and influencing skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong presentation and communication skills (oral and written)
• Flexible personality, ability to adjust and pivot when necessary and willing to take on new challenges, work well under tight deadlines
• Have good business sense and willing to learn about the areas supported
• Strong Microsoft Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word skills to review data, create analysis and share findings in writing to both internal and external parties.
