Description
The Asset-Backed Finance (ABF) Associate, Capital Markets division, will support senior team members in all aspects of securitization advisory, credit analysis, credit underwriting, client marketing, and deal execution. The Associate will initially report to the Head of Asset-Backed Finance and the role will be based in Charlotte, NC or Stamford, CT.
Responsibilities
• Support all aspects of ABS & CCS lending and ABS/CCS transaction origination, execution, and marketing
• Support ABFG business management and reporting
• Prepare underwriting memos, conduct transaction analysis and summaries, and organize the underwriting process for the lead deal team member
• Participate in transaction due diligence calls and meetings
• Perform market analysis and research as requested by management
• Work collaboratively with key internal constituents and external transaction participants in support of ABFG initiatives, including Portfolio Management and Credit Risk Management.
• Monitor and research capital markets trends with focus on CLO developments
• Perform other related duties, as needed
Qualifications
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience
• Experience with securitized product transactions and legal structures, including CLO Bond and bank warehouse facilities
• Experience preparing leveraged loan securitization credit analysis
• Familiarity with rating agency ratings methodologies
• Proactive, detailed-oriented and proven ability to work independently on multiple projects
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
• Bachelor’s degree required
Hours and Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
