Ipreo by IHS Markit is looking for a Manager of Test Engineering for our Raleigh, NC or Cape Town, South Africa offices. The Manager of Test Engineering is a leader driving our Corporate group Test teams with test strategy, drive and optimizations. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, Corporate, this individual has the charge of delivering change and support in our unique and evolving environment. This individual manages test teams in Raleigh, Cape Town and Kyiv, Ukraine, which involves about 15 + individuals worldwide and growing.
This Manager of Test Engineering will act as a leader of continuous improvement and change, with the goal of shaping the organization into a more productive distributed team. This involves updating and iterating on our software testing practices, which include but are not limited to: component testing, integration testing, CDC testing, shift left test theory; expanded unit testing adoption, post-release quality metrics; agile process and technology guidance across the entire program
This Manager of Test Engineering should be constantly evaluating team’s test engineering technology stack against current industry best practices on a regular basis. Evaluations of new technology offerings will lead to design and execution of roadmaps to get the tool into the team’s daily operations.

• Hiring, growing and managing High-Performance Test Engineers world-wide
• Assessing new technologies and presenting executive overviews to stakeholders
• Proven track record of using Agile methodologies
• Coach, mentor and motivate team members
• Practical experience with DevOps teams
• Responsible for Software Quality Metrics and KPIs
• Influencing cross-functional team members
• Deep understanding of Software Development, Continuous Integration, Software Automation, and Test Engineering processes and functional interactions

Requirements:
• BS or MS in Computer Science or similar
• 7+ years software engineering or Test Engineering experience
• 5+ years management experience
• Deep knowledge of modern test engineering technology, practices and evidence of successful application of those practices in a test engineering organization
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate process changes across an entire organization; proven track-record of building teams
