A Proposal Analyst will report directly to the Director of Proposal Services within the overall Marketing organization at Fidelity Institutional Asset Management. Considered a core role within the Proposal Services team, the Proposal Analyst will be responsible for strategic proposal development and completion of client and consultant regular firm and investment due diligence.
The Team
The Proposal Services team plays an important role in supporting the organization’s sales effectiveness and client retention objectives.
In this role, you will be expected to work collaboratively with internal business partners (including Investment Professionals, Legal, Compliance, Performance and more) to research, write, review and finalize accurate, well-written, custom responses to proposal questions which include current plan, operational, and investment statistics, process descriptions, and marketing language.
The Expertise You Have
• Bachelor's degree (major in English, Communications or Business preferred).
• 2-4 years financial services industry experience required; familiarity w/ institutional defined benefit business preferable.
• Must work effectively with minimal supervision. This position requires an individual who brings strong project management skills and ability to make decisions, escalate business issues and adjust project scope in response to various inputs.

• You have a good understanding of the Financial Services industry, the Fidelity brand, and the services Fidelity Institutional Asset Management offers to the marketplace.
• You bring both strong marketing communications/writing skills as well as the ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
• Strong project management skills including experience managing dynamic projects from start to finish, often working against tight turnaround times.
• Serve as a “channel lead” and primary point of contact for business partners within that channel.
• Superior attention to accuracy and detail, and commitment to delivering top quality work are of the utmost important to you.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively, build strong relationships with business partners and team members, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Polished individual who is comfortable working with senior investment professionals.
• Demonstrate leadership skills and willingness to constructively coach junior team members.
• As a self-starter, you appreciate the opportunity to work autonomously and are a motivated learner who is inquisitive and enjoys researching questions and looking for creative solutions
• You are an adaptable and flexible team player who is comfortable working in a continuously changing environment.
• You have experience working with major software applications including Microsoft Office and Adobe.
The Value You Deliver
• Review provided documentation to identify prospect/client key objectives and analyze proposal requirements with appropriate stakeholders.
• Assume overall responsibility for projects including: planning, organizing timeline and project deliverables.
• Provide status updates to project team members on progress and proactively alert appropriate team members of issues; provide recommended solution for issue resolution.
• Research appropriate project responses through supplied databases as well as any other identified sources; when necessary draft initial response to be reviewed with respective subject matter expert.
• Assure integrity of the supplied data by confirming data with appropriate sources; review final copy to ensure department quality standards are met and compliance with company and department policies.
• Coordinate all aspects of production process to assure their overall quality meets Fidelity Institutional Asset Management standards - create appropriate packaging elements such as covers and custom tabs, coordinate appropriate appendix and enclosure materials and work with internal and external printing services to ensure professional print quality.
