Description
When our customers experience damage or property loss and their lives are disrupted, they expect their claim to be processed properly and to receive their claim check when promised. Loss Draft SMBR Specialists have the satisfaction of knowing they make a difference in the lives of people going through difficulty by meeting or exceeding these expectations. Loss Draft SMBR Specialists are responsible for accurately processing checks and documents related to property damage claims and are the first and last steps in the claims check process. They have a direct impact on customer satisfaction and confidence through the timeliness, accuracy, and quality of their work.
Note: Loss Draft Specialists SMBR handle and process claims checks. Due to the sensitive nature of this position, the work environment is monitored and secure.
Primary Job Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Accurately process and mail out claim checks and/or related documents according to direction given by Property Loss team.
• Ensure that internal and external standards are met on a consistent basis
• Efficiently and accurately enter information into company proprietary systems.
• Provide a high-level of accuracy in handling checks.
Build and maintain effective internal and external working relationships in order to meet client requirements and service level agreements.
• Request information and/or provide updates as needed.
• Handle other duties and projects as requested based on business needs.
• Work collaboratively with SMBR and Property damage teams.
Maintain and update product knowledge on an on-going basis and attend workshops, seminars, and other training sessions as appropriate.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications Required
• High School diploma or GED
• Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Proven customer service skills and ability to work in an environment focused on teamwork, quality and accuracy
• Strong problem solving skills and ability make appropriate decisions based on standard procedures and information provided
• Basic knowledge of computers and proficiency with Microsoft office including Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to work in a monitored, secured environment
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Knowledge
• Minimum of one-year experience in insurance, banking, finance, mortgage servicing, or related experience or education
• Cash handling experience preferred
• Good oral and written communication skills and professional telephone etiquette
