Job Description
Accounts Payable Tax Analyst
The Accounts Payable Tax Analyst role will perform analysis on invoices to determine, maintains data for foreign tax reporting, handle notices from the IRS (B-Notices and penalties), maintain data for California Independent Contractor, review OFAC reports, and support staff functions (Error Recycle, Vendor Missing, Uploading Files). This role will also support Error Recycle, Vendor Missing, P-card uploads, and \customer inquiries.
Responsibilities
TAX
* Prepare Use tax reporting to 15 states, various cities and counties within the states by Comerica entity.
* Solicit internal customers for detailed information regarding the taxability of certain invoices. Contact includes all levels of Management monthly.
* Keep tracking files for easier use tax reporting (lists of vendors that apply tax, vendors with exceptions etc.).
* Assist with 1099 Reporting for all vendors.
* Assist with 1042-S Reporting for all vendors.
* Maintain W8's, Source document and summary worksheet for Financial Reporting and 1042-S reporting for foreign vendors. Update Source documents responses twice per year.
* Track miscellaneous items not on our system for 1099 reporting compliance.
* Prepare Independent Contract Reporting.
* Process B-Notices from 1099 reporting.
* Process Penalty Notices from 1099 reporting.
* Assigned research for tax reporting (via internet).
* Set up all tax payments on mainframe to generate checks.

Qualifications
* Associate Degree or 60 college credits or High School Diploma/GED
* 2 years of financial services experience
* 2 years of system knowledge working with CWM, GEAC, PC Link
* 2 years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday
