This internship is part of the First Tennessee Bank's INTERNAL AUDIT group.
Position is located in Memphis, TN.
This Internship will provide:
• Knowledge of the company’s First Power culture, vision and mission statements
• A broader perspective on how First Horizon services the community and region as a whole.
• The opportunity to participate in and/or lead the completion of assigned, short-term projects requested by managers
• The opportunity to acquire specific skills that are needed to achieve professional goals and aspirations.
• Hands-on work experience in the field
Our Internship program is a 9 week PAID program that starts on Monday, June 3, 2019 and runs through Friday, August 2, 2019.
HOURS:
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Average 40 hours per week
Intern Objective:
Intern will be exposed to actual internal auditing. Interns can be potential part time or full time hires in the future.
Value for the Intern:
Real life experience in Auditing. The Intern will be assigned projects during actual audits and become relatively familiar with the area of the company where the assignment is made.
Delivery:
The Intern will create a presentation covering areas of the company where the Intern has worked - including what the specific value was for him/her. The presentation at the end of the program will be to the Internal Audit leadership team.
Job Description:
• Assist audit managers with tasks associated with day-to-day internal audit activity, including data entry and analysis, work paper preparation, report generation, and distribution of materials.
-Provide clerical computer support for departmental programs, including review of information and updating presentations.
-Support ad hoc project requests for managers within department as time allows.

PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Outlook Able to understand basic Information Management principles
• Strong written/verbal communication skills; must be comfortable communicating with all levels of management
• Good analysis, research, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage project duties, balance workload and meet internal/external deadlines.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTIC
• Minimum of two (2) years in a business related degree program
• Good organizational skills, detail oriented, and ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to work independently under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team on simultaneous projects or initiatives. The candidate must be able to proficiently multi-task and be comfortable taking direction from multiple people
