Description
Assurant is looking for sales agents to join our dynamic Direct Sales Team. We provide extensive paid training and cover all initial licensing application fees. Take advantage of this great opportunity to sell Property and Casualty Insurance to ready-made customers via inbound telephone calls. NO prospecting or cold calling are involved. Our clients refer their customers to us.

Hours: Our sales center is open until 10pm Weekdays and 10am - 5pm on Saturdays. Individual work schedules will vary to sufficiently staff these hours.

Primary Job Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:
• Responsible for making sales presentations and selling our products and services in a fast-paced inbound call center environment.
• Meet and exceed individual and team sales goals, following operational processes and procedures.
• Follow proven scripting to deliver compelling sales presentations.
• Identify needs, gather information, address and overcome customer objections and process transactions as appropriate.
• Manage challenging client situations while maintaining composure and following best practices.
• Respond to customer inquiries, assist and educate customers on the company, and identify opportunities to sell our products and services.
• Appropriately escalate customer requests and situations requiring further assistance when necessary according to guidelines.
• Manage multiple priorities and balance workload based on business needs. Responsible for meeting deadlines and quality standards.
• Build and maintain effective internal and external working relationships. Request information and/or provide updates as needed.
• Maintain and update product knowledge on an on-going basis and attend workshops, seminars, and other training sessions as appropriate.
• Participate in continuing education opportunities and maintain license requirements.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications required:
• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year related customer service, sales, and/or telemarketing experience
Other Qualifications:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Self-disciplined, resilient, and motivated to succeed and grow professionally
• Demonstrated proficiency with basic computer skills including moving between multiple computer screens while entering data
• Ability to work in a sales position where you must meet quality goals while working in a call center environment, (i.e. sitting in a workstation answering back to back telephone calls and using a computer and head set)
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2 years of call center and/or insurance industry experience
• Understanding of call center environment and the importance of meeting service standards
• Proven ability to meet sales goals
• Florida Property & Casualty (2-20) or Personal Lines (20-44) license
• Bilingual (English-Spanish)
